Then I read this article….Victoria Beckham is going to be Creative Design Executive for Land Rover !
Land Rover Owner International (LRO) is posting that the former Spice Girl and wife to soccer star David Beckham, has been appointed the title of “Creative Design Executive” for Land Rover’s Range Rover lineup.
“Victoria Beckham is a talented British fashion designer and is extremely knowledgeable about great design and trends.” Says Gerry McGovern, Land Rover and Range Rover Design Director.(read the rest here…)

I am at a loss of sarcastic comments for this vehicle. Sporty, Fresh, Exciting ….. But, can it off road? Can it pull my Casita? I guess I can hold comment until the Paris Auto Show, or Wait until fall 2011 for it to show up in U.S. dealers show rooms. Uhmmmm, this is from the guy who thought the Discovery was getting too far from home for Land Rover. I suppose so many owners has contributed to the move away from unitarian vehicle that would go any where. There are too many fluff 4X4s out there. Do we need another one? Land Rovers (and Jeeps) should be , at the end of the day take the garden hose to the inside and out, and call it good.
